Sun Wellness Acupuncture in Boston has served thousands of local general public since 2009 in Greater Boston Area. We are dedicated to assisting each individual in the personal restoration critical to a higher quality of life by offering the latest advancements in the treatment, diagnosis, education and prevention of illness. Our philosophy is based on the concept that we are each have the ability to heal ourselves naturally.
Sun Wellness Acupuncture in Boston believe in treating the constitutional root of an illness rather than the symptoms along in order to address and support the health of the individual more fundamentally; symptoms will be eliminated only after the root of disease has been treated. After a thorough examination, we will then design a customized treatment plan to restore you to optimum health and well-being. Above all, we strive to regulate the imbalances that you experience in your body and mind whether due to emotional stress, physical trauma, an improper diet, environmental factors or genetic predispositions.

Meet the team
Sunyoung Lee OMD
Sunyoung Lee holds an OMD (NV), a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DAcCHM) from Pacific College of Health and Science, and a certificate from the Harvard Medical School SQIL (Safety, Quality, Informatics, and Leadership) program. She is a Licensed Acupuncturist in both Massachusetts and Nevada and a National Board-Certified Herbalist. In 2009, she founded Sun Wellness Acupuncture, where she focuses on pain management and specializes in women’s health and fertility support. Her professional goal is to support the body’s natural healing process and guide patients toward optimal health and wellness.
Dr. Chris Da Hao
Chris is a highly skilled and licensed acupuncturist with a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine (DAcCHM). With over 10 years of clinical experience in the United States, Dr. Hao is dedicated to providing holistic and individualized care through acupuncture, tuina, and cupping. Before establishing his practice in the U.S., Dr. Hao completed 2 years of clinical training in the Orthopedics Department at Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in China. His solid foundation in both Eastern and Western medical approaches allows him to deliver comprehensive and effective treatment tailored to each patient’s needs.
Mandy Tsui Lic. Ac
Mandy is a licensed acupuncturist in MA. In hopes to continue giving patients outstanding care, she is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization at Pacific College of Health and Science. She earned her Master’s in Oriental Medicine at the New England School of Acupuncture with an undergraduate background in Public Health and psychology. Outside of the clinic, Mandy enjoys hanging out with friends, rock climbing, and spending time outdoors. Her goal is to help patients heal holistically by addressing the physical and emotional aspects of health, giving patients a better quality of life.
Yasmine Owen Lic. Ac
Yasmine is a licensed acupuncturist in MA and RI. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Human Development from Eckerd College. After several years of working in a lab and in the health care industry, she pursued and earned a Masters’ degree in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from New England School of Acupuncture. Her goal is to continue her studies in health care and to provide Eastern medicine to as many individuals as possible.
Katelyn Chang
Katelyn graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture at MCPHS. Earning a degree in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Japanese-style Acupuncture. She has also earned a degree in health sciences at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Her interest in holistic healing started at a young age, practicing traditional Yang Shen to improve health in one’s daily life. She hopes to teach others how they can improve their health from the root, in order to lead long, healthy lives. In her free time, Katelyn likes to stay active with taekwondo, boxing, and pickleball.
Adalis Maisonet Lic. Ac
Ada Kwan
Ada graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a degree in Finance. After observing Dr.Lee as an assistant, Ada has grown a great interest in the works of alternative medicine. She is in the process of pursuing a Masters in Oriental Medicine at the New England School of Acupuncture at MCPHS with a specialization in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Ada is looking forward to serving in the medical industry by being able to provide care to patients in need of a path towards natural healing.
Rachel Ramos
Rachel is studying Business Finance in Quincy College. She also has a passion for Real Estate. Rachel enjoys helping others and being part of the Sun Wellness Acupuncture has been an amazing experience. Caring for our patients puts a smile on Rachel's face. In her free time she enjoys exploring different restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her three children and family.
